for the first few weeks of class this girl thought that my name was very weird. So one day she came up to
me and asked, “what kind of name is Pizza Burrito?”

I built a half pipe during the week of spring break and ended up with about 9' of vert & about 1' of transition.
It was as strong as a fucking battleship, but unfortunately we weren't at war. Both of my younger brothers
called it, “the box I built in our backyard.” It was hard to come up with a good response for them giving me
so much shit, cause it was a gnarly ramp and almost impossible to skate. I got all of my lumber with the
help of my neighbor who had a pick-up truck. We drove up and down the streets looking for construction
sites that had piles of trash lumber. He and I would load up his truck, drive back to my parents house and
unload. We did this for two or three partial days and then it was on. Using my Dad's hand tools, power tools
and the biggest nails I could find, the building began…
My only regret is that I never took a picture of the beast!
